Thank you. This auction is for a beautiful pair or set of vintage (antique? ) native american indian handmade, decorative beaded tops for moccasins or shoes. I have no idea whihc tribe they came from. They were found packed in a trunk along with some old non-indian clothing, linens, & accessories, & are in excellent condition. I'm not entirely sure if they were ever used. All i can report is some light soil & yellowing on the kint back & around the edges as shown. All beadwork is securely intact. These tops are of knitted construction, which is much sturdier than woven or embroidered beadwork, since each individual bead is 'locked' in place with a knit stitch, much like the highly desirable ladies antique knit beaded purses. Colors include opalescent white (with a few opaque white beads mixed in), & clear amber, teal, dark green, lime green, pink, navy blue & red. If you look closely at the 2 heart motifs within the top corners of the triangle on the fronts, you will see that one has pink hearts with a turquoise blue outline, while the other has a dark blue heart outlined ni amber.
I don't know what significance or meaning this may have. Each top measures 9 & 1/4l from toe tip to back edge, sides are 1 & 3/4w, & the widest part of the beadwork is 7 across the front. While they certainly would enhance any pair of doeskin moccasins, they are wonderful just as they are, for the collector of vintage beadwokr or american indian craftwork. If you bid on & win more than 2 auction, please request your total within 2 days fo auction's closing so i can wrap your items & send your combined invoice. Combiend shipping since i always combine shipping for multiple purchases to keep your cost as low as possible, i don't pre-pack anything ahead of time in case you win more than one auction within the same week. (but i can always igve you a pretty accurate estimate of shipping cost before you bid, just ask.
) important all multiple items must be paid for with a single combined invoice, in order to be eligible for the combined shipping discount, especially if using paypal! (while paypal is free for you to use, they charge me per transaction, so combining an invoice saves me some money, too! ) please do not pay for your item yet if you plan to bid on more of my auctions (& let me know! ), otherwise i cannot combine the shipping. Shipping time all items will be packaged with utmost care & quickly sent out, usually within 1 business day of receiving your payment, weather & usps business hours permitting. Please keep in mind, usps is only open until noon on saturdays, & your package might not go out until the following monday (unless they are closed for a holiday! Then it wuold be tuesday. ) once your item has been mailed, i will e-mail you the shipping details by the next day, including any tracking or delivery confirmation numbers. Please do not bid fi you cannot make contact within 3 days of auction's end! I need to know that you do want the item! If you do not make contact by then, i will e-mail you only once as a courtesy just to make sure you are alright, but if 7 days pass & i still do not hear from you, i will assume you do not care, file a non-paying bidder complaint & offer the item to the underbidder. (you will risk losing the item, & getting an unpaid item strike. Please be fair to everyone & only bid if you really want the item & can pay on time! )shipping winning bidder to pay all shipping & handling costs in usd currency (& in usa, dleivery confirmation &/or optional insurance. ) i charge a very small, very reasonable handling fee (usually $1.00 or less for small & $2.00 for large/very fragile) toward the cost of packing materials (clean tissue paper, bubble wrap, styro peanuts, mylar sleeves, etc. ), & gas to get to teh post office. I always try my very best to mail out your items within 1 business day of receiving your payment, so you'll get them asap.(but please remember, if the post office is ever slow in delivering your package, it isn't my fault! The postage label is always dated, which guarantees ohw quickly it left my hands, but unfortunately i cannot control the speed of the usps. )insurance i always recommend insurance. In some cases it will be optional, for durable or vrey inexpensive items. But if na item is very fragile or very expensive, insurance will be mandatory. Also, for delivery to some overseas countries, your item will require insurance &/or tracking. Note the shipping calculator may not always indicate when insurance is mandatory, or may show an optional charge for it when it may actually be included.
Priority mail international shipping includes tracking + some weight-based indemnity coverage, so purchassing extra insurance would normally not be required. International payments worldwide i accept international postal money orders, citibank cheques, & paypal, but in most cases to use paypal, you must have a confirmed address with paypal and the payment must be in usd currency & be in accordance with the paypal seller protection policy (which protects both of us. ) paypal payments must be made within 3 days of auction's closing. If you have any questions regarding other acceptable payment options, please don't assume, e-mail em before you bid, & i will try my very best to help you. I do give my itnernational customers ample time for payment to reach me by mail, if not using online payment, but you still need to let me know within 3 days of auction's closing. If a payment problem should arise, please contact em right away. I am very easy to get along with, as long sa you communicate! In many cases, items must be sent priority mail or express mail, which includes tarcking & some automatic indemnity coverage. I have no control oevr the cost of shipping or any additional fees you may possibly incur. ) i know priority shipping costs more, but i want everyone to be protected, juts in case a package goes astray. Some countries are notorious for poor mail delivery (italy is one fo them, sorry! , os i request a daytime telephone number to put on your package in case of any delivery problem).
First class offers no tracking or insurance, so the buyre assumes all responsibility if choosing that shipping option, & it will only be offered for very inexpensive items. Items over $25, i reserve the right to refuse shipping without tracking & insurance. (i've never had a problem yet, & hope i never do! ) please keep in mind, the usps no longer offers eocnomy surface! Everything goes by air now. Please keep in mind, especially when rating shipping cost & shipping time, that it is the usps (not me! ) who makes up the prices & has ultimate control over delviery time.
So when judging me, please be fair & rate according to how fast i shipped out your item once you paid for it, & please don't punish me unfairly if the usps took longer than they should have for delivery. Layaway for items over $200, i would accept 25% non-refundable deposit down immediately, balance to be paid within 30 days of auction closing.

But please keep in mind, my items are used, vintage or antique, not new & factory-fresh, so please don't expect them to be! I describe any flaws that are important to know about, but normal use is not a flaw! Clothing all sales aer final on vintage clothing, jewelry & wearable items, for obvious reasons! Sorry, no refunds, no returns, no exceptions! I provide all measurements in the descriptions to hlep you make an informed decision on fit. I do not have clothing drycleaned or laundered, this keeps my costs down so i can offer a low opening bid. But i would never fofer anything nasty for sale! Most garments have been stored in estates & might require airing or laundering/cleaning (which is always recommended anyway.) i do check seams for strength, but please keep in mind that threads (as well as fabrics) do weaken over time, & may need to be reinforced before actually waering a garment. I spend a good amount of time examining garments for damage, & strive to honestly report anything i find. If i miss anything, it would be very small & insignificant. I do not smoke, & try not to offer any clothing or textiles from smokers' homes. I od have cats in my home, but they are never allowed in the room where i keep the clothing! Returns i'm so very sorry, but i do not sell on approval! I provide a very detailed, accurate description with plenty of photos, so please don't bid unless you are absolutely sure the item will be right for you. I consider all sales final unless it can be proved htat there was gross misrepresentation on my part. A non-clothing/jewelry item may be returned within 3 days only if proven not to be as described, & refund will be issued on bid price only, minus any & all shipping & insurance costs, provided item is returned insured at your expense, intact & in the same condition as when sent. Absolutely no returns for buyer's remorse, color doesn't match my decor, my husband/wife doesn't like it, or any other reason other than gross misrepresentation on my part. (sorry! ).
